Reinstalling Hehr Standard Windows - Caulking cord for weatherstripping...Mortite?

Has anyone used Mortite to seal windows?
Vintage Trailer Gaskets is out of stock on the Cord style weatherstripping they recommend for the Hehr Standards behind the backframe gaskets.
I found Mortite at the hardware store and would like to get the windows back up asap. Is it the same thing?

Another tutorial I found used butyl putty tape...

Any recommendations?
