"J" Hinge strips

Hi Guys,
I want to replace the "J" Hinge strips on two of the access doors on my "70 Sovereign. Does anybody know if this material is available? If not, any suggestions for another way to fix these? Thanks, Bill

the J hinges on my 73 and the hinges on my 69 are not the same. I don't know what the 70 would have since I have seen that the 70 has parts from the 69 and parts from the 70's. AS used parts til they ran out so it could be from either years. 69 was a transitional year (they call it the bastard year) It is different from the others. (last year airstream made the trailer and the first of the body style)

Out of Doors Mart sells the window J hinge:

Window Hinge 1969 to 95 195297-05 [195297-05] - $2.95 : Out-of-Doors Mart!, More Airstream Parts on-line than anyone!

Might be worth buying a length of it and see if it will work on the hatch.

Many owners remove the hinge on the door, then invert the door, and install a piano hinge at the bottom.

Then, the door will never be on the ground again, and it's out of your way when you reach into that compartment.

A cheap fix, and very effective.
