Inter-generational main door replacement?

Hi all.

So I'm newer to the game, and have a '67 Overlander. Like a few others on here, it was a victim of a door suicide, so I've been poking around. No luck yet. But, I've seen other doors, which makes me ask.... has anyone ever explored interchanging doors between the various generations? I mean, with my '67, I don't see a lot of donors. I do see more donors from the '70s, so I find myself wondering how different are these doors, really? I'm somewhat crafty, but I'm not the guy who's got either the tools or experience to bend square tube in 3 axes to make a new door from scratch, but I'd certainly take a run at frankenstein-ing a door that's almost just right into the old hinge I have somehow.. Wondering if I'm the only one who ever thought this might be a good idea.

Cheers!
Erich
