Hehr vent cover

I have a ‘63 Sovereign with 2 Hehr roof vents. The mechanism in both work great but I need new covers and 1 new fan motor. The vents are 14 x 14. I also need a new skylight cover. Suggestions where to find these items?

I think the lack of response has something to do with the fact that nobody knows the answer to your question. I don't believe these are reproduced. You can find the aluminum version sometimes on ebay. You are lucky the operators function properly. Those can be quite troublesome.

The "skylight" astradome, as Airstream called it, is available from Vintage Trailer Supply. The lids, the best bet is to get on Facebook and hit up the various trailer parts pages like Vintage Airstream Parts Swap Meet, Airstream Parts, or even the Vintage Airstream Club page. Lots of folks pull them and put fantastic fans in so the parts are out there. 64Lincoln is correct, you're lucky having lifters that still work, make sure to lube them up well when you work on them. A side note those can be "unstuck", that's another thread though, but basically you can pry out the pivot rivet on the side, drive the shaft out, drill out the inner pin and drive the small shaft out, sand everything, then reinstall.

hehr roof vent operator

Airstream supply now carries the operator mechanisms, but they're expensive.

I believe that company is gone. The site certificates are bad and a couple other threads mentioned numbers don’t work and items are never sent. When he was running those reproductions actually looked good

I was able to use a 14X14X2 Aluminum Baking pan as a near direct replacement to the original Hehr vent lid.
