Fantastic Fan Seal Replacement?

After 3 years of fighting sticking Fantastic Fan lids I talked to the OEM and they sent me new seals. The replacement seals are not joined at the ends. Question, when replacing the seal do you have to glue in any way the new seal in place, or is it just pushed into channel?
