Looking for a locksmith who can give me a price and who can repair my 1969 Overlander entry lock set. I do not have the key and the exterior handle fell off. I have removed the lock set.
The keying is the easy part. The hard part will be finding the handle and a project you should work on first. Try Vintage Trailer Supply and any salvage yard that may have older Airstream parts maybe Sonny at Camper Repair in Montavallo Al.

I have plenty of used parts of the Bargman L 100 and L 200 locks. I can even help you with a new or used one as a replacement if you like. You might just need a new handle but beware there might be other issues as well. I have some outside handles and can help you rebuild it if you choose. Send me a private message and I will be glad to help.

Hi Rick, I'm glad to here you have some L 100-6 parts. It looked like a piece at the end of the exterior handle had sheared off perhaps made from cast white metal. I recently purchased this airstream. With help I have now have all the systems working, removed all doors reglued all the failed laminate touched them up the 3 coats of lacquer. The lock had me stymied, if you have the parts and the know how I would really like to keep it like the original. Do you have an idea of what it might take cost wise? Thanks so much. I'm in Leadville Colorado, I could ship the handle to you. Email: horningdj@gmail.com

Hi Rick...Wish I knew you when my L100-6 sheared the actuator tang on the bolt finger that slides the bolt back from the inside. I and my 95 lb dog got locked in so I went out the rear window and thankfully, was able to open the door from the outside. At the time, no amount of internet search or phone calls produced a replacement. I removed the lock assembly, tied the door shut to get home and had a local machine shop make a new bolt from mild steel. I keep it coated with grease to prevent rust and so far it is ok. I may need your advice later so will keep you in mind if you don't mind a direct contact....Jake.....jacobbutts@gmail.com
