Astra-dome

Just bought 65 overlander, Astra dome was removed and panel placed on roof to seal opening,no leaks and probably done some time ago ( not sure how long). Inside opening left uncovered. Not sure what to do, go back with aftermkt Astra-dome or replace interior ceiling panel. Manufacture drop down lighting or is it possible to install ac in opening(not crazy bout this idea and opening is probably to big)

I would go back to the Astra dome but there are things to know before a decision is made. Is the frame the held the dome still there? Are the lifters still there? Cost? Pictures always help. I would think drop down lighting would look like a patch job. The hole is to big for an air conditioner so I would think that would look patched also and I am not sure what power is available there. The dome serves as a passive light source.

I agree if you can get the lifters and screen and such, the dome is a nice piece to have.
