Hello all.
I am trying to get the lock cylinder out of my bargman l100, to see if I can remove the slop. I know that there must be a pin that holds it in. I have tried the diffrent spots rotating it with the key, and useing a shim from the front to see if I can find the pin and release it. What am I missing?

When looking down into the brass cam of the lock while holding the outside handle in the palm of your hand you will see one of two things. First a small weld tip or head or a phillips screw. If it has a small weld and it has worn down then I don't think there is anything you can do unless someone here has modified the tip to place a screw in the tip in order for it to be tightened. If it has a screw then just tighten the screw and that will remove or reduce the play. You do not have to remove the lock cylinder to do this. Attached is a picture of the lock with a screw in place. You can see it dead center inside the brass cam.

Thanks for the reply. I have one of each. I took the one of my Trade wind last night and it had the screw. which was lose, also the lock pin was lose in the hole. I prick punched the pin and put it back together, seems better. The other one I have is a spare, and I have in my mind to rebuild it. I am a machinist by trade so parts can be made. I want to get the lock cylinder out to see whats there. Thank again.

There is a posting somewhere on the web that somebody posted where he had removed the lock cylinder. I was surprised because I thought it couldn't be removed at that time. It was either here or on the Shasta or Scotty forum.
I have the Rebuild kits for these locks if you need one.
