Mine goes in a pvc tube for that purpose riveted underneath the trailer in front of the dump valves. Just pull it out, drop it on the ground, and hook it up. Back in with no fuss or bother. I use one of the orange very stiff heavy duty hoses, Makes it easy to handle.

We have 2 lengths of slinky.
One resides in a slinky storage compartment (black pipe) under the trailer (underbelly) a few feet back from the front.
The other slinky section lives in the back bumper storage compartment.
I have stored them in garbage bags in other storage compartments.

Just a comment for the record. I had a full timer who traveled for a living tell me his best results with the black tank was to always travel with about 3 gallons of fluid in the tank. Never store the camper (although he never did) without liquid in the black tank. This process made sure things stayed "loose" and when reused would allow for the "old" stuff to flow out. I have been using this method for 9 years and it works well. Traveling with liqiud alows for aggitation and complete processing of all materials - nothing stays "high and dry" in the tank.

OK - enough visual. It's a messy process, I always store both the 4" hose and the SS in seperate in a container outside the AS. It's just me. Even with the SS, I travel with a 4" hose in a tube under the AS for use at dumping stations. I usually dispose of the 4" hose (not the fitting) after as I do not want to waste time flushing the hose or dealing with the mess (coward I know). I can get the hose cheap and don't mind.

The black tank flush system and a clear fitting help, too.

Thalweg that is a great idea. I'll have to check the tongue of mine to see how much room I have.
