Where does refrigerator condensation drain go?

The drain should go directly to the outside by itself.

By where the drain enters the floor of the refrigerator compartment in the middle of the 2 tires should it come through the wheel well in the middle between the 2 tires?
I can't see it.
I will look again when I get home.

If you don't see it I would pour a glass of water in the collection tray and see if it drains outside. If it does not drain out the shop may have short sheeted the tubing and it is draining into the body. NOT GOOD

Refrigerator is on. Been on several days. Our humidity is near 100%. Such be much condensation/drip from the hose...

Mine never drains until I defrost or shut off the fridge after a trip. Mine is inboard of the tires almost to the fresh water pan.

As note above I would not expect to see massive amounts of water until shutdown. The small amount generated on startup may just evaporate in the tray on the back of the frig.

I just replaced our broken tube as well. On our 20 ft FC it goes to the lower refrigerator vent door.

That is where my drain goes, also. By the way, if you still have the brittle white plastic drain piping, change it to a more flexible, non-hardening material. When it cracks it could cause problems. The aluminum floor of the outside refrigerator compartment is continuos and makes a waterproof threshold at the vent/door.

Mine does not go to the compartment door.
The condensation drain on my previous trailer went through the door.
This one drains through the bottom of the compartment and should come out in the top of the wheel well between the 2 tires, but I don't see it.

Mine goes in a hose in the refrigerator compartment that ends in a rectangular metal cup near the flue/heating element. I guess the theory is it will get cooked off. The tin cup has a piece of hose sticking out of it as an overflow drain.

I poured water into the catch pan in the refrigerator. I still can't see where it goes.
I'm gonna call Airstream tomorrow and ask.

From people's descriptions, it sounds like the refer drain line has been handled differently over the years. My refer drain line ends inside the refer cabinet.

I have a 2009 FC 25' FB with the Dometic 6.0 cu ft refer/freezer. The refer drain line ends at a well just inside of the refer compartment door. The drain line has a small screen at the end and is secured by a clamp.



I do not normally have much condensation inside my refer and have only seen moisture at the end of the drain line once.

We have a 2001 30' Excella. Refrig is on the curb side opposite the stove and drains directly below through a rubber tube that exits the belly pan.

My drain line is PEX tubing that disappears into the floor of the refrigerator compartment.
I wonder if it ties into the a/c drain line or goes into the gray tank.
I will call Airstream tomorrow.

The lady did not know, but is supposed to email me some info.

Ours looks just like Bob's. But the white drain line has become brittle and has broken in several places, with water trying to get into the coach. We will replace the entire drain line before using again.

Just replaced ours on our 27FB, it ended at the inside of the outside access door. Refer must be removed from the inside to access it to replace the tubing

Y'all got me thinking about being a supporting member so I can post a picture.
I understand what you are saying about the drain line going to the compartment door.
I had a trailer like that before.
On this trailer the drain line goes down through the floor of the refrigerator compartment.
The refrigerator compartment is above the street side wheel well a little forward of center.
I can't find the line - or even a hole for the line - protruding through the top of the wheel well, by the frame, or anywhere.
I called Airstream. The girl didn't know, but was supposed to find out and email me info.
I'm surprised someone hasn't been able to say, "It goes through the floor and then to such-and-such a place."

I have a 2009 27' classic limited and the drain from the refrig went into a nylon corrugated tube that was duct taped to the edge of the trailer inside the service panel for the refrig. after 2 years the condensate tube became brittle and broke in several places letting condensate drain inside under the vinyl causing a discoloration on the surface. The service center in JC, Ohio fixed the tube with more duct tape and blew me off. My floor in now rotten and needs to be replaced. JC showed me how they stand behind their very over price hunk of Aluminum with rusty steel accessories. So much for quality in JC. I replace the corrugated nylon with PVC tubing. ( very easy to do) and now the water is directed outside as it should have been done originally.

If you are going to own an Airstream you need to become a master of every possible failure because it will happen. So far I have identified 75 problems and 69 that I have had to fix myself because JC didn't care.

I guess no one with a Classic 30 has read my post...
I have said a couple of times already that it does not come through the door of the compartment like many others, including another trailer I had before this one.
The repair shop did remove the refrigerator to replace the drain.
The drain disappears into the floor/bottom of the refrigerator access compartment.
I don't think the repair shop replaced this part of the tubing/piping. I think it is original- was born that way. There is a big glob of some type of putty around the pipe/tubing where it goes down into the floor/bottom of the compartment.
I think the repair shop just put new red PEX tubing from the refrigerator to this original looking piece of whitish/grayish looking pipe/tubing.
Am I gonna have to become a supporting member and post pictures to communicate what I am trying to say?
