Water pump and water heater

If you have water in fresh water tank can you turn the hot water on with the pump on. Do you turn water heater off when you are done

You can just leave the pump and the water heater on all the time if you want. The pump only pumps when the pressure drops when you are running water. The heater has a thermostat that turns it on and off.

Having said that, we don't do it that way. We turn the water heater on for a while in the am and a while in the early pm. We do not like it to run at night. And our water gets too hot if we leave it on all the time.

We generally turn the water pump off at night and when we leave the trailer. And of course the hot water heater is off on those times too.
