Water leaking from fresh water input

Does anyone know why water would be dripping from the door where you fill the fresh water when we are hooked up to water at a campsite? The fresh water tank is full and the pump is off. We have a 2016 International Serenity. We are in the middle of nowhere. Could this be a potential problem that needs to be fixed right away? Will water get inside somehow? Or can it wait till we can get to a dealer in about a month? Can we stay connected to campground water supply or should we operate on fresh water tank?

There are a few threads in here about this and I asked the same question (2012 27FB Flying Cloud). Best I can tell, the fresh water pump is supposed to act like a check valve and may not at all times. I didn't get the sense it was harmful (in my case water was closely coming out of the full area and spilling outside).

Use it for the next month and if you're mostly on city water, either drain or use some fresh water and it will at least lower the tank and give you some time for it to fill back up. But have it checked next month when you can. Good luck and happy camping!

Ive just noticed the same thing today as I'm camped, hooked up to shore water, found water leaking out of fresh water inlet at the back of AS. Monitor panel shows Fresh Water at 100. I also discovered a very small amount of water on floor as you enter bathroom door. I'm the only one here, so positive no one else has leaked hand washing water from bathroom sink or missed the toilet bowl I turned the shore water faucet off and it's late, so I'll check further tomorrow. Thanks in advance for ideas, suggestions.
