Water Heater (Electric) Available????

Is there a replacement electric water heater for a 76 Sovereign? I have never cranked up the water heater on this unit and all things being considered would prefer not to use the propane with the expense involved with it. So far every place we have been has a bath house so we don't use the shower except for a storage area but wife would like to have hot water for dishes.

If you only need hot water for dishes, a 30-pound tank of propane could last a long, long time. Is there a specific reason you don't want to use propane? The cost of a new electric hot water heater will buy a heck of a lot of propane.

Where would I find a insta hot water for under sink.

Actually as old as the unit is I am kind of afraid to crank it up on gas.

For instance I don't run the heater either but use a portable one and it does fine.

I put in a new gas-electric hot water heater in our 86, 25' model. I seldom use the electric. Awful easy to punch the gas on for 30 min in the morning and night. Water stays hot all day. We take a lot of showers. Do be careful of the old unit though. Ours puffed back after a windy hailstorm apparantly got it wet, and it burned the insulation on the wires and the potted control over the gas.
