B and C look like the hot and cold water drain lines used for winterizing.

A is probably the drain for the fresh water tank.

I cannot tell what D is....

It looks as if D is some sort of water softener or filter.

I have 2 valves in the rear compartment below the battery in my "new" 1971 27' international. Any idea what they control. Thanks
Steve

D is most assuredly the water filter.

I can't say for sure, but they are probably low-point drain valves for your bathroom fixtures. open those to drain all the water out of the lines.

the 73's have them under the galley sink, as pictured above (one of those drains the fresh water tank), and also under the bathroom vanity. The winterizing instructions are simple: open those valves, raise the jack all the way up, wait until water stops flowing out of those rear drains...then lower the jack all the way, and wait for the water to drain out of the front one's. Probably the same deal for the 71's, too...although, different models locate the valves in different spots.

Frederic: as a fellow 23' safari owner, I can confirm what was said above...except I don't have "D". I was going to guess maybe that was an "accumulator", which is a device that evens out the pulsing output of the pump. Could be a filter, too. my original water pump has been replaced, so I don't have those parts. I don't remember seeing either a filter or accumulator mentioned in the owner's manual, so it could be something that someone else added.
