Still have the original air compressor for water pressure

Hello everyone,
My 61' Overlander still has the original air compressor which is used to pressurize and pump out the fresh water. Iím not quite sure how to use this properly. Does anyone know if it has an auto shut off feature when in use? Is it realiable or you think it is going to fail on me soon? Any instructions on how to use this type of system would be great!

On another note, when you are at a RV park that has water hookup, does that mean that you keep the water hose hooked up and on at all times and use their water pressure to operate off of, or does it simply mean they have water to refill your tank with?

I have the same system in my '61 Safari. Most folks change over to a water pump instead of the air pump, but I like the air pressure system and it has been no problem to get it into operation and keep it running. It does have a high pressure shut off and low pressure start from the factory and it is important that these settings work properly.
Send me a PM if you would like more information from my experience.
When at an RV park leave the water hooked up and on. That way you will be using their water and pressure. It is a good idea to use a pressure regulator between your hose and the park faucet. You never know how much pressure their system is running.
