sewer valve not closing

I have a 2012 27' flying cloud. After last outing, the sewer dump valve will not close all the way. it is about 1 inch short of closing. any suggestions?

There is probably something blocking the valve, using a Flush King or similar device could clear the valve.

If it is under warranty I would get it to a dealer quickly if flushing it does not work. That is an expensive repair if you have to pay for it. Could be something in the valve. Could be that the seal has come loose from the blade.

Could be something as simple as the extension rod hanging up on the guide. Check the simple things first. This happened on my 97. An easy fix

We had a simular problem last year but it was about 1/4 in from fully closing. Ran the black tank rinse and filled the tank to about half full and opened the valve. That took care of it for the most part but it was still a little shy of fully closing. Ran the rinse again for about 15 minutes and that did the trick. Good luck

Mine did the same. Pulled out plastic cuttings that were from the holding tank where the factory installed the fittings and just let the cuttings go in the tank.
Good luck

We found many plastic shavings coming out of our gray side ... the drain in the shower does not seem to work at all ... sounds like QC is down the toilet!

I know none of us want to work in this nasty spot, but these are very easy valves to disassemble and check out. You just have to have the tank completely (and I mean COMPLETELY) empty before you take out the four bolts. There are two large O-rings to pay attention to, but a nice layer of silicone grease prior to reassembly will make this a (relatively) trouble-free and smoothly operating system.
