needed! - Thetford toilet ball valve

Hello,

I am in need of a ball valve for my 1968 Aqua-Magic model 1800 toilet. The replace part number is 09869. I have searched everywhere on-line with no success. Can anybody out there help me out. Surely someone out there still has a few of these ball valves in their old inventory somewhere.
This valve is apparently no longer manufactured, but I have managed to find one in the past. This past winter was not good to my plumbing and now I need to replace this valve again.

Thanks.
Dan

The good news is that the Aqua Magic III valve replaces the one you have. The bad news is they cost around $50.

Unfortunately I don't think that is correct. I have compared the aqua magic III valve to that of the aqua magic 1800 and they are NOT interchangeable. Documentation from Thetford indicates that replacement part 09698 is required for the model 1800.
Thanks for you help.

You might try these folks or other old line RV dealers in your area if you don't think the part Richard came up with will work....

Thanks for your help...you guys helped me locate one of these valves. Now I don't want to appear greedy but I would like to procure another (or two) as backups, in case the one I just got breaks in the future. Does anybody else out there have this ball valve?

Thanks,
Dan
