Mystery water line?

While I was underneath checking gas lines I noticed something wrong with the fresh water drain--a broken line. At least that's what I think it is.

Problem is I can't determine where it goes or whether it's just capped and the cap came off. It spits water when I turn on pump. Ends just forward of axle.

Any ideas ?

Low point drain? Does water come out when hooked up to city water. Check inside above pipe for a valve.

It's on opposite side as city water connection. One end comes from presumably under sink then there is a valve to drain then this line runs but i see no commections it might have broken from

If you close the valve inside does it stop the water?

Which line is it in the photo. The white stuff? There shouldn't be water lines run outside the trailer.

Where is your water pump in the trailer. Curb side or street side. Does the line go through near the water pump.

Just had a look and it's the city water line..my hook up on left side is completely gone. It must connect across to this then run up to sink..ouch not sure where I left that...roadside in Vermont probably. Does anyone have diagram /picture so I figure out replacing the missing piping and inlet. It's a 77 land yacht..

Correct!

Sounds like a PO had water line issues and didn't want to do the work of re running correctly. On some of the 70s trailers the water line ran down into the top of the water tank bay across the trailer below the floor and back up on the other side into the kitchen. Might not have wanted to mess with a broken line in there below the floor.

I think given my limited time I'll get some pex And reinstall the city line as it was. It sounds like the proper fix will mean pulling up floors and that is not on my list this Autum

Nope, yep.
Proper fix is all above the floor. Helps keep the pipes protected from freezing and other damage. PEX will make things easier once you figure out where you need to run it. It's flexible enough to get most places easily.

City water originally would have come in through a hose spigot near the rear bumper to a pressure regulator then branched from there to the bath and kitchen, feeding the water heater on its way.
