Oh, and those valves are a vast improvement over the previous model toilet, which is no longer made. THAT valve was placed, then the toilet was cast around it. When it breaks, you replace the toilet.

Yeah! The valve is free! Thank goodness for carrying way too many tools in my trailer...
It appears that the freeze/fail occurred where the threaded part for the city water inlet is glued in to the housing.

There is a very, very small amount of lubricant on the button/plunger that resembles petroleum jelly?

Yes, I used Teflon lube but you could use petroleum jelly or even KY....

Looking through my wife's cosmetics I found nothing.
Wondering if Neosporin, triple antibiotic ointment, athlete's foot cream, Vick's VapoRub, or anti-fungal cream would work...
After all, aren't all those products basically medicine suspended in petroleum jelly?

Also wondering if I can apply super glue to the leaking part and fix it instead of a 160 mile trip to get the part...

You do not want it to be water soluble so use the one that really does not wash off your fingers or toes.

No super glue, mine failed the same way. The valve body cracked along the seams. That is under full water pressure anytime the pump is on or city water is connected. You would need to break the body in two pieces, then glue and clamp, assuming you were able to break it in half along the broken seams.

Super glue won't do no good if it is busted on the inside where I can't see...

Will definitely call Southaven RV to ensure they have the part before making the long journey...
Too bad big box stores don't have Dometic commode parts...

hmm,

UPS and Priority Mail - the great equalizers of distance! and, often less expensive than gasoline or diesel.
