Missing Vent Cap. Causing Leak?

The round cap on my vent has disappeared. I noticed I have a leak on that side, could that be caused by the missing cap?

Next question, where can I get a new vent?

Thanks,

What vent do you have that has a round cover? The skylights are square, the frig is elongated, the sewer vent are not caped.

If you mean the black plastic shower fan cover yes that could cause a leak and that leak may show several feet away from the vent. There is a para pit around the fan opening that has a small drain hole on the lower edge. If that hole is clogged it can cause water to back up and flow into the body.

Mine showed up in the partition on the far side of the frig. several feet away, when I drilled a hole to mound something. The partition was wet inside.

I'm sorry, I should have been more specific, it's the vent for the waste tanks.

I looked again, the number was covered in caulk. It's a Ventline V 2049-1 for a 1 1/2 " pipe. Even though only the cap is missing. I need to replace the whole thing as I noticed the base has a crack in it.

A missing cap would allow rain/snow into the pipe but that just goes to the black tank so, no, I don't think this would cause your leak.

A cracked base on the other hand might very well be the culprit.
