Leaking waterfilter - how to detatch water in/out?

Hi - waterfilter is leaking (broken glass in filterholder)-needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, there is no indication as to what type of filter this is and prev. owner installed unmarked filter. This is not the problem. My problem is to disconnect the water in/out of filter housing. Waterlines are new type, crimped onto connectors and there is no way to unscrew the 90 deg bend used. So - how do I proceed and unhook the crimped waterlines? Cannot upload pics - as service is unavailable, sri.
Any advice would be helpful.

I don't believe there's any good way to uncrimp a crimped connection. I suggest you cut the lines close to the crimps, and plan on going back with some other sort of connection, either threaded or barb-and-clamp.

Anyone else out there have a better idea?

Thanks Protagonist - Guess there is no other way than to grab the Hack-Saw and cut line(s) by the 90 elbows, thus getting to the lines and unscrew the elbows.

Got a new filter and replaced the old one. Got water into the new filter, but nothimg in the faucets. All valves are open - still nothing. I am lost here. Btw the water pump looks brand new. Should be self priming.

New thought - after looking at the print for the water system, I started wondering - what if the filter was mounted backwards? Assume there is some sort of "flap-valve" inside the filter. So mounted backwards means no water in the faucets, right?

Cut the pex line close to the fitting and then split the old ring.
