Leaking kitchen faucet

I have a 1999-34 foot Limited that has Moen single-handle kitchen faucet that leaks, the leak is getting progrssively worse and is quite irriatiting. I tried to get to the cartridge, removed the cap and there's a screw that holds the handle on, the screw will just turn and turn, but won't come out. Looked under the sink to see if there were nuts that hold the faucet to the counter and can't find a thing..

Does anyone have any ideas how to get to the cartridge or remove the entire faucet so that a new one can be installed?

Have you looked in the center, where the water lines enter, should be a big nut there holding faucet on.As far as getting the screw out ,if it keeps turning then there is a plastic piece broken under the cap that should prevent it from turning.Only option is break away the piece the screw is holding ,then hold stem with needle nose and take out screw.Moen warranty #1-800-289-6636 they should send you all parts you need, except maybe the puller, you can usuallly get that as a borrow tool at Ace Hardware, after leaving a deposit. 99limited34,
Take a look at these links from the Moen site, they should help as it is the same basic construction as the old one in your trailer...

Exploded Parts View

Instruction Sheet / Owners Manual

They are pretty simple once you get the handle off...Famous last words.

I've had a similar problem but it actually turned out to be the circular decorative flange - it worked its way loose (it threads) enough to keep the control lever from fully lowering.

This is a recurring problem - I just have to twist it back down when it happens.
