I don't think this is a really valid test of the idea. If you have a black water tank 1/2 or more full, then add ice cubes and drive a few miles before flushing, they will slosh around and clean up a lot of the stuck material. The premise that this guy is using is that you have a dry tank with stuck material and only put in crushed ice. Not a valid test.
But it was fun to watch.

I agree but he made some comments at the end to the effect that we are only seeing a small amount of his footage.. He did experiment with water, he said that when adding water, the ice floats over the solids and doesn't help in removing them. He has a whole series of videos on the subject, I just watched the one with the 4 rinsing products. Very informative.
