How is flange installed for Black water tank

Could someone please describe to me the how the flange is installed and received by the black water tank that I will set my toilet on.

I have replaced the plywood floor and I am about to install the new larger black water tank below the floor. The original was above the floor.

I don’t have any examples to follow and need to know how it connects and how close the tank can, should, or needs to be to the underside of the plywood floor. The plan was to have some insulation between the underside of floor and top of the tank. I don't know if this is correct. The black water tank inlet is threaded

I really could use some instruction and even a picture or two.

I hope you have a screw in hole on the top of the tank....makes it easier all the way round. Secure the tank. lay the plywood floor and install it. Plan for future maintenance when you do that. Have the "hole" cut above the tank. The toilet flange will now screw down thru the floor to the tank. Be sure the flange you get has a close floor hold down spacing when fully screwed in. Use some thread sealer...not glue...on the threads. You will need four toilet hold down flange bolts and nuts to holt the fixture too. I think the one on Vintage Trailer Supply web site would work....but, you can get those anywhere. You can get some infor from Steve at VTS as well. I think on my "Special Order Bubble" forum subject posting has some pictures too.

Yes, the tank does have a threaded inlet.

A follow up question if I may.

What do you mean by "Be sure the flange you get has a close floor hold down spacing when fully screwed in"?

I do need to open up the hole a bit to receive the flange.

Call VTS...tell 'em the thickness of your floor and finish flooring that the flange will be used with. They will get the flange you need.Toilets & Floor Flanges

Thanks I'll call them tomorrow. I have about 1.5" between the bottom of the floor and the top of the tank unless I shim it up.
