Pump rattle after dewinterizing new 2014 Flying Cloud
We just dewinterized our new 2014 Airstream. We are very new at this, but were helped by RV friends. Now when the pump is turned on, there is a loud rattle behind the kitchen sink area. We have an appointment for some other work next week, but wanted to use the trailer this weekend. Concerned about the noise and using it may make matters worse. Any ideas for a New Airstream owner?
Air in the pipes and vibrating them. They can get real noisy. I bought the Sureflo 'quiet' kit as described above. Also removed the pump and put a piece of that grey rubber/plastic mat stuff you can get a Harbor Freight underneath the pump. Rather than screw the pump back down to wood I used cable ties. Made it a lot quieter.
Turn the pump on and open one faucet at a time and let it run until it doesn't burp. Hot water tank will need 6 gallons just to fill up. Don't forget to burb the outside shower lines.
