Freeing up water drain valve

I have a 1995 Excella that has a white/plastic or nylon water drain valve in bottom of the tank behind the curb side wheels. I am unable to twist it open and do not want to apply to much pressure and break it. Is there some product or way that I can use to loosen in up so it will twist open?

Pliers should do it.

Silicone spray. Let it soak into the o-ring.

Yep, I'll be replacing mine tomorrow because I twisted too hard without soaking it in lube. It worked once, but seized up the second time I tried to open it.

Someone posted a few months ago that they made a tool to turn this valve out of a piece of aluminum chanel. I can not find that post, but would like to make myself one of them.

If pliers don't work ...

Try a hammer ... that'll open her up .... real good.

Then you can go buy a new one to install ...

and won't THAT be fun

Silicone spray is the way to go. Worked like a champ for me. Liberally spray on the spray and let it penetrate (15 minutes is probably good, I waited over night) and reapplied after the valve was open.

In fact I used a bit of silicone spray on several moving parts all over the rig and everything is moving / working a bit easier.
