Dirty fresh water

I am hooked up to fresh water, and am constantly getting spurts of black water, like something is coming apart. Its not coming from the fresh water hookup because I've have this problem regardless of where I hook up or if I'm just running off my water pump.

If you have a charcoal filter in your system that is the likely source.

What RickDavis said. Whenever I hook up a new charcoal filter for the first time, I never fill the tank, or even connect the freshwater hose to my Airstream, until water run through the filter comes out clear, which only takes a few gallons.

A clogged filter could rupture under enough water pressure, and spew charcoal dust into your freshwater lines.

Yep, check the filter. It is probably under the sink, a metal canister type. Mine is on the left side of the sink. It clamps into the head. If it is like mine, replacements are only available at RV places. $35-$50.

And welcome to the forums!!
