"city water" repair help needed

Being a new Airstream owner, I am quickly learning that being a contortionist should be a prerequisite for plumbing repair in Airstreams. I have a 1975 23 foot Safari. Where the "city water" hookup comes inside, behind the shower, I have a split piece of copper that needs to be repaired. This ties into the pressure regulator, and is only about 8 inches long. The problem is that the line actually rests along the back wall of the body. I can manage to get wrench on one of the fittings, but no way to get any muscle to turn it. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

If it is a standard size line...I would get a Shark Bite fitting at a Home Depot (or other store), cut the line with a hack saw, smooth the edges with emory paper or a file and slip the fitting in place. Those are great repair items.
