City water backing up??

Hello all! Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

I hooked my recently purchased 2017 Bambi Sport 16' to city water at campground. Approximately 1 hour later, I noticed water coming out of the Potable water fill connection. That should not happen, correct? Appears that there is a valve somewhere that is open when it should be closed? Or is there another problem I am missing....

Thank you!

Elizabeth in the "Bambi"no

Welcome to the forum! The following recent thread will fill you in on the possibility that the check valve on your pump is stuck open, thus allowing city water to go backwards into the water tank:

There is a good probability that there is some trash (a bit of sand, plastic, etc) hung up in the backflow preventer that is associated with the pump. With the city water turned off, turn on the pump for a few minutes, with a faucet open, so that the trash might be pumped through.

If this does not fix the issue, you might have to repair it.

ps:
If flushing does not remove the trash quickly and return operation to normal immediately, you can continue to camp anyway. Fill the water tank as needed and use the water from the tank. Over a few days this may fix the backflow problem.
