'62 Bambi plumbing

Hello,

I recently purchased a 1962 13' Bambi.

Unfortunatelly all of the plumbing, toilet, shower and waste tanks have been removed. The water tank and what seems to be a pump is still in the trailer.

Where could I find some information on how plumbing used to be in my trailer?

Is there any hope for me to restore all that stuff?

Thanks,
Kamo

Where there's a will, there's a way! The plumbing layout in early Airstream trailers is quite simple.
I would draw a floor plan with all the fixtures, and than make a layout for fresh water, city water, hot water, toilet, shower, and tanks etc.
You can use pex for all the water lines, which is very easy to work with. The trailer most likely only had a black and fresh tank, no grey tank. If you want to add a small grey tank, you will have to do some research on how to fit it under the floor.
I just re-plumbed a 63 Overlander, and must say that it was one of the easier jobs, even though I am a lousy plumber.

Bambi restoration

Hello Kemo, welcome aboard. I have just completed a 1963 Bambi restoration. On my thread I have information and picture of the plumbing. Uwe's suggestion are right on. You can view my thread. http://www.airforums.com/forum...mbi-17925.html I would be glad to discuss any ideas and questions with you.
It's a great adventure restoring an Airstream. But during the times when the process seems to be long and slow, It's great to discuss thing with the members of this forum.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check out your 63 restoration thread.

When was your Bambi made? Mine is a 62, but it was made in November, so it might be the same as yours.

Our CA Bambi was made in January of 63. That makes us pretty close. After you look at the thread let me know how close our trailer look. The Bambi's had some custom work on them but very little from what I understand. How about some picture of as you bought her.
