1975 Argosy 24'

Does anyone have a diagram of the entire plumbing layout for a 1975 Airstream Argosy 24' Center Twin Bunk?

Most of my plumbing was rotten and missing, mainly the fresh water system. I mainly concerned with how to plumb it up in the rear bath closet area.

The owner's manual for the '75 Argosy has all of the published information that I have encountered that is Argosy-specific. An Airstream Service manual for the same model year will provide a very close approximation of what was used in the similar Argosy. In the '75 Airstream Service Manual, you would be looking for information on the Tradewind Twin. If you don't have an owner's manual, I can scan the section on plumbing from mine.

I should be able to get the scans done around noon tomorrow. The books are in my storage unit in town so will need to wait for daylight to be able to find them.

Sorry about the delay. The manuals weren't where I thought they were so it took a little additional searching to find them. I still didn't find my '75 owner's manual so scanned the relevant information from the '73 -- there were very few changes among these three years in regard to the utility systems. I have also included the utility system information from the 1978 Airstream Service Manual for the 25' Tradewind which is very close in design and layout to the Argosy 24.

I hope these help in identifying the systems in your coach!

I noticed my trailer is missing the fresh water intake and it appears to never have had one like the one shown in the scan. Where would a good place be to mount a fresh water intake?

When the Argosy didn't use the city water intake pictured in the Argosy materials, the usual alternate location was on the rear bumper support/frame extension on the roadside. I have actually been better pleased with the solid mounting on the frame extension as opposed to the through-the-wall installation -- I have a through-the-wall model on my Overlander and the rear frame extension type on my Minuet.

If you are missing the potable water tank fill fixture, it is one of those items that is obsolete and no longer available. Finding one of similar design and durability is difficult if not impossible -- I had to have the original fixture replaced on my Minuet due to damage, and the best that could be found at the time was a plastic model that while function lacks the charm and durability to the original. The general location for the fresh water fill is as close as practical to the tank and somewhat above the highest point in the tank such that the fill hose/tube can take as direct a path as possible to the tank -- the tighter the hose curve the longer it will take to fill the tank.
