Wheel! bearing seals - 1966

I have a 1966 Globetroter that has been sitting for 20+ years that I am starting to rebuild. I have gotten the breaks and bearings apart and managed to find all of the parts I need except for new bearing seals. The seals that were installed were National 292100. All of the parts houses I have talked to so far have been un able to cross them to something that they could get. Does some one have a suggestion of who to contact?

Question

Try cross referencing this, TCM 223263TB, at a local Auto store.

Do you have an old seal to compare?

this from Vintage Airstream:Wheels & Axles - Vintage Airstream

Another area that you need to be aware of are the different grease seals available. Many RV outlets have a simple single lip seal that will fit in Airstream axles. Airstream does not use nor do they recommend the use of single lip seals. Their recommendation is to use double lip seals only. They may be a little harder to find is a small price to pay for the added security.
The original P/N was a National 291148 felt seal and 292100 in the ‘60s Henschen axle. The 292100’s are available from OasisRV. The TCM 21325TB

Take the old seal to an auto store to make sure they match. Make sure you get all the old grease cleaned out of the hub. Don't mix greases. Get a good bearing grease with a high drip point. I got marine and bearing grease with a 500˚ drip point at Ace Hardware.

Read up on the threads about wheel bearings for advice on how to tighten the castellated nut—too tight and the bearings will burn out.

Good advice from Excella above about getting good quality seals.
