I had just stumbled upon this trailer sometime last week. It looks really great! Nice to get that newly restored feeling without breaking a sweat I'm sure! Congrats!

Wired for sound

There isn't a radio in the trailer, but the shop did install a new antenna and 12V into the endcap shelves so one could be.

I like the look of things being even, so I guess putting speakers in the fronts of those sheleves may not look great. Would rather not mount them in the bottom pointing down either.

A quick Cut n paste of a face place is what I have done here.

Anyone have any ideas?

Steve

Ouch! Hide that radio behind the cabinet door. You don't want to destroy the clean look of that wood panel. There should be enough room above that shelf to mount a couple of Bose miniature speakers. Surface mount to the top of the fiberglass shelf. The only thing that will collect there otherwise is dust.

Hmm.. Your gaucho looks pushed left. There shouldn't be a gap to the right edge. Do you know if your armrest is missing on the street side? That gaucho came with an armrest on one side only. I can't think of why that would be pushed over otherwise.

It is the same in this picture, but partially covered by the pillow. I think they might have made the mattress to short on that side, or it is pushed too far as you have said.

Suicide door latch

I did not know you bought another coach when I read and answered your PM. I looked at your pictures (VERY nice coach!) but you did not show a good view of the door and access handle. If it looks like mine then the 'latch' I made will work. The concept 'latch' will work on most suicide doors but will need to be made to fit the handle style. Let me know if you need another 'latch'.

Yeah,

The deal isn't final, and I can't get the owner to return emails to me.

Kinda irritating if you ask me.

I hear that... I work with a local sea scout troop and at least half our vessel donations end up that way... After a few months of no contact or paper work we just dump it back in their yard. BTW feel free to check us out at Sea Scouts Ship 5544 - PTF 3 Restoration Project. Not trying to advertise or anything but I fig that the USN vets will find it an interesting site. good luck!

Bollocks!

Well,

I received a mail this weekend that the shop with the GT committed to another buyer less than a week before I was to go and pick it up.

Looks like I am still in the hunt...gotta find one soon to make my rally in October.

Were you looking at a Safari Sport before this?
