Magic Chef oven question - 1968

I have a model #727 Magic Chef oven in my '68 Globetrotter. The 4 burners all work when lit with a match. No go on the oven. The pilot looks all rusty. I need to get her redone with fresh parts. Has anyone done this? Or have you attempted to and found a source or discovered its not possible. I hope to get this going. I powder coated the top and cover, came out great. Would like to hear from anyone with a similar oven. What should I try first?
Thanks,
Randy

It is unusual for the oven pilot light components themselves to require replacement. Often the thermocouple will fail, but it's a standard home-center part.

The oven thermostat is prone to failure and parts are hard to find. If you search the forums you'll find that someone has posted a part number and source for a commercial griddle thermostat that is an exact replacement except for the knob color. They're a little over $100.

I had problems lighting the pilot in my Magic Chef oven in my 66 TW. I wrote about a primer about how to light the oven. This may help you:

You may find parts from this supplier that will work. They've been mentioned here in multiple threads:

I'm trying to get the magic oven in our 67 globetrotter returned to full functionality. I've not actually tried to turn it on yet. after getting the trailer inspected for gas leaks in the pipes right after purchasing it I was told one of the burners is leaking. the dealer wouldn't put it back in the trailer due to liability so it's just been hanging out for several months while I try to find someone willing to take a look at it. I've finally found a guy who is willing to take a peek at it tomorrow morning and I'm crossing my fingers! I'd love to keep the original if at all possible.
