It's Christmas Early - 1969!

See...if you ask the Powers to be...

So I better make it an official post.

This is a 1969 Globetrotter, that has officially moved into her winter gravel pad (hopefully this spring she won't sink up to her hubcaps like last year oops picked the wrong spot for spring run off) We had a tandem truck load of 3/4 gravel dumped in the same spot.

She even has a cozy fire pit close, but not that close! to keep her warm.

And my first question will be - was it common for Airstream on the change year to grab any part they could to finish the trailer?

Ours is trimed out in brass everywhere - except for these two lights in the aft bedroom.

So if anyone out there has two brass ones (and not spray painted brass look alikes) and would like to trade - let me know. (opps should this be in the wanted section??)

...and for those desparate for the silver scones - nope not giving them up until they have their working replacements

Jcaravaner - Thank YOU! and to anyone else who had a hand in creating this subforum

Well it isn't all without some mishaps. I moved the entire thread to this forum and was removing the pet postings (I left those behind in the pet forum). It looks like I stumbled onto something that I had not experienced before in that when I deleted the first post, the entire thread deleted, and to make matters worse I can't get it back. So sorry for the lost posts, I've learned a new lesson but on the good side you all have a new sandbox to play in.

Regards,

Jack

Well let me start out by posting some interior shots of my Globetrotter. I tried posting in the members photo area, but had some problems. I'll try again later. Thanks for the 1969 Globetrotter sight!

hmmm I'm seeing double, dejavous, ditto, KEWEL!

Those are new cushions in the front?? The original had little flip backs - I will dig up a picture and post it. I made a tone of toss cushions - a bit overboard but I had them anyway and wanted something other than expensive foam. I am still using the original backs for support to the cushions.

The would is in excellent shape as is the Galley. I don't know the people that had these Globetrotters really looked after them - all three that I have seen were in great original shape.
