Globetrotter Side Bathroom

In 69 and 70 and perhaps other years on the 21 ft? globetrotter there was a floorplan with a side, rear bath and shower and the opposite side appeared to be a single couch bed? OR was it a pull out bed that made into a full size? Also were there other years or models that used this configuration other that the 69-70 Globetrotter?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had a '69 with that configuration. Long ago, so details are a bit hazy, but it had some kind of a pull out board and then the cushions on the sides went down to make a bed. It may have been an Airstream "full sized" bed at 48" (real full size is 54") but I no longer recall.

I don't think it was used in other trailers.

I have one of those (1970) but I modified the floor plan years ago. My recollection is the bed did pull out into a double but at least one person needs to be short because of the rear curve

I think you will find the only two years were 1969, 1970 for that layout in the Caravel and Globetrotter unless you go back "many" years or look at newer models.

One trailer that you may not know about is the 1970 Safari "Special" which was the same layout but in a 23' version. It basically had a Caravel/Globetrotter back end, with an "Overlander" front end. It's a great layout, lots of room. I own one and it's great!

Here's a link to some info that might help.

Enjoy,

Thanks

Thanks to all and particularly like that special. I have also been looking at the later twin bed configuration as well although the would then be a rear bath configuration.

Hi, we just bought a 1969 Globe Trotter with the bathroom in the back, our bedroom has a couch that pulls out into a "full size" bed. We are going to put the grandsons back there and we are going to modify the front dinette area to be able to make it into a complete bedding area because the table does not fold down. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be appreciated. Thanks!
