Your Favorite Thread?
I've wondered, reading the Forum so often, which threads are the favorites of members and why. Oh, I know we can tell somewhat by the stats for them, but I'd like to hear what thread(s) is your favorite and why you never fail to pull it up to read the latest posts. Mine, bar none, is the Pets Photos thread. I click on this just as soon as I see it...or if I haven't seen it appear for a while, I'll call it up just to see whose pooch or kitty (usually in or around the Airstream) has been featured. These snapshots are daybrighteners...and never fail to make me smile So, what's yours? ~G

My favorite post depends on what needs fixing on a given day. Whatever post will help me fix it is my favorite!!!! ;>}

My favorite post was about the person who dropped their toothbrush down into their commode.
Someone with skills might post a link. I don't think I've laughed that hard in years.

My favorite thread of all I have seen so far has to be Smokeless Joe's Argosy remodeling project. The reason I like it so much is that it is a thorough and detailed account of an entire system that reveals an entire lifestyle based upon the freedom that Airstream makes possible. Sergei's project is the Airstream spirit -- even if the trailer is an Argosy. The quality of workmanship, the materials used, and the outcome, all tied together by design and color scheme. It's a complete package of self-sufficiency and possibility.
Here's the thread: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f227...-18448-13.html

My favorite is the one showing the coolest restoration thread at that time. Currently it's this one: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f109...ect-16692.html

Wow Shari.....this was before my time on the forums. Had I read thread # 35 by BobbyW I could have saved countless hours of research. This is the ultimate checklist and I would have followed it to a tee except for the pergo floor and the black tank idea.
This summation pretty much renders the search button and the Forum unless. No wonder it has been kept secret!
Thanks for unearthing this long lost gem.

Shallow person that I am, I liked the Matthew McConaughey thread. I still think he lurks here. I was a bit disturbed when informed that he doesn't use deodorant though.......kinda ruined it for me!

I absolutely love restoration or renovation threads. InsideOut just simply ROCKS. Her creativity inspires and makes me wish I had the $$$ to ask her use her superb good taste on my '54. I have my ideas and will get'er done, one day. I just lack that vision of how those ideas will look when they all come together. If I get it wrong, that gets expensive.
But I also loved the thread that dealt with something like "What we do for our pets". We have a much loved Border Collie. I won't bore you all with his wonderful traits, but when I found this thread I bounced uncontrollably between true joy and tears.

I always go first to the rally threads I will be going to.....then the resto and reno threads...anything to do with interiors (the outside is Jim's balliwick mostly). Then anything I think I need advice on or can get good tips from. So my fav is what I am interested in on a particular day!

so many. where is that thread about the waitress at the truck stop? LOL
but the tech threads are my bread and butter--47WEEWIND (Fred's) in-depth knowledge, INSIDEOUT's latest, Jim&Susan, and especially Carlos Johnson. Wow. And how about LUMATIC and UWE and....? And so many more that I'm monitoring every day.
And I miss the acerbic 2AIRWHEREAREYOU [that's his new name, you know]? And others who have been banned or admonished. Come on. They make the blood boil and the opinions fly. Why can't they come back?

Well, I have to be biased on this, simply because there was so much time and love put into it:

Here's one the starts off innocently enough but turns into quite the amusing (maybe not supposed to be but, entertaining none the less) tale...another one of my favorites, for sure!

Here's the one about the waitress, supplied through the good graces of the one who knows all past threads. It'll probably come through with a new format for the Forum. I don't know how that worked, but I couldn't find User CP in the links at the top of the page.
