Hi, depending on the size of the wood screw, drill out a little bit larger, add wood glue to a Golf "T", tap Golf "T" in place with hammer, after the glue dries, cut flush with wood surface, and pre-drill before reinstalling screw.

Well my favorites are red wine and dark chocolate...seems to prove quite effective for most things that need remedy.
But a few other tips is that Avon's Skin So Soft is THE best bug and tar remover for your car, truck or Airstream. It also is a great adhesive remover and paint remover. It is gentle and smells great. That smell may keep bugs away and it softens skin and you can use it for shaving. You can put it on your screens and bugs will avoid it.
Bounce sheets polish the shower and remove hard water and soap scum and treat the fiberglass or glass doors wonderfully. Great air fresheners and drawer potpourri, maybe keep mice away. Rub onto clothes to remove static cling.
Whiteout or toothpaste will render nail holes in white walls invisible.
Cure for hiccups... drink an entire glass of water without stopping for a breath through a washcloth...works every time. Silverhawk i hope I get them soon to try thinking of a white horse, but I have to tell you i am skeptical.
Sam did you try this???

One bar of Ivory soap, wrap in paper towel and rubber band, place under bottom sheet of bed. No more leg cramps.
YEP!! I thought so, too, but two who had leg cramp problems swore by it. ?????????? At least the price is right
|
I thought it was a lack of potassium or gout but if that works I will try it because I get them and they are horrid!!!
Gana I don't know what sam e is but I certainly need to take some to elevate my mood, or another home remedy...romantic comedies.

You guys are funny. Now who would think to use wood glue in their beauty regiment? Or Terry why are you getting those black eyes? And leeches instead of steak? Well steak is readily available and I sure would still cook and eat it. But then I live by the 5 second on the ground still good rule. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger.

Don't let "Gordon Ramsey" read this...
You would be showered in the famous " F WORD"...
The one I remembered the best is..
Once when I was about 6 yrs old,
I walked out to get the mail while staying at my grandparent's farm.
Upon opening the mailbox, I found a wasp flew out and, settled on the tip of my nose...
I kinda blew a sharp breath upward to get him off and, he flew down to sting my lip..
OUCH..I ran like heck back to the house screaming~!!
My grandmother took some of my grandfather's pipe tobacco and, mixed it with saliva ..
She placed it on the stinging area and, presto..
The pain from the sting was gone`!!
How or why..I couldn't say but it worked~
Does that qualify?

My grandmother and mother ...both used to deal Skin-so-soft and you put a cap full in the bathwater towards the end of the bath, and you won't 'dry itch' afterwards. I have some we bought at avon outlet in Amarillo. Don't get it in your eyes...

swimming helps and it will loosen muscles. use scuba fins and have that person do some kicking. It will stretch your leg muscles. You will feel like jello after a good swimming work out.

This works great for the trips to the beach with the kids or grand kids. After a day playing in the sand and all that sand sticks to the little feet and hands of the kids, before you put them back in the car or the AS, rub some Baby Powder on the sandy feet and hands and all the sand falls off.

Baking soda can be used as toothpaste. Add just enough water to make a paste, brush normally, then rinse well.

Cancer treatment?
Pycnogenol, an extract from the bark of French maritime pine and available at health food stores, has allegedly been known to cure or arrest the spread of cancer.
A friend of mine dosed it to her little Yorkie that had been pronounced terminal within 1 month by a vet and the little dog lived to a ripe old age.
I was introduced to this product by an oncologist in Florida who provides it to all of his patients and claims to have seen miraculous results.
Don’t pooh-pooh it unless you’ve tried it.
Pycnogenol is an antioxidant much stronger than grape seed. I’m curious to know if any other members have experience with this product.

Potassium for Muscle Cramps

Potassium usually works for muscle cramps. It's the same reason people say eat bannanas. Only problem is you'd have to eat about 10 lbs. for it to do any good. I learned about it working in the shipyard down in New Orleans. Used to wake up in the middle of the night with excruciating leg cramps after working all day in the heat. An old-timer there turned me onto it. I take 99mg daily. It's cheap & you can buy it anywhere suppliments are sold. They claim it also helps heart & circulation.

I tried pycnogenol maybe ten years ago. It's supposed to be good for what ails you. I forgot what was ailing me at the time but after about six months it hadn't any effect one way or another so I stopped taking it. So the results of my own limited clinical trials were inconclusive.
(Whatever was ailing me must not have been too serious as I am still alive and as ornery as ever, if not ornerier.)
The lady who recommended it to me was a distributor in a multi-level distribution scheme and I became a "distributor" so I could get it "wholesale". I just checked and found I still have a few dusty copies of the booklet, "The New Superantioxidant Plus: The Amazing Story of Pycnogenol(tm), Free Radical Antagonist and Vitamin C Potentiator".
If you would like a copy absolutely free of charge and without obligation drop me PM with your address. I won't try to sell you anything because I dropped my "distributorship" a long time ago, and in any case, I never did sell any to anybody else.
Cheers,
Nuvi

For leg cramps......I had them every time I went up a ladder. A friend told me to buy "Hylands" brand "Leg Cramps" at CVS or almost any drug retailer. These pills have quinine and work very fast. The cramps go away quickly.
Try it..

well, I purchased the quinine pills for him, and so far havent heard...so we are watching to see how it works. Meanwhile, did you know that you can stop a squeaky wooden floor with throwing talcum powder on the area...the powder will sift down into those squeaky areas and hopefully will stop them.

I had a lot of leg cramps during my pregnancies. Took calcium pills & that made them go away. Don't know if that would help the male gender?!
My favorite tip I just learned in Mexico....if you eat something that is so HOT (spicy) that you feel you might lose your tongue....Put sugar on an ice cube & then your tongue on the ice cube. It really does work! Beer doesn't, unfortuately!
