Your Bank Info may be public info

My wife called Bank of America on the 12th of Sept. Today she got a e mail questionnaire from what appeared to be Bank of America asking for comments on that call. She was going into the bank for other reasons and asked a platform individual about the e mail. Turns out that was a fraudulent e mail.

Now for the real question. Who besides my phone carrier and Bank of America had access to that call history? Someone clearly did and sold that information.

While the e mail almost looked legitimate at closer review the bank of America logo was for shortened.

Looks like we just have to be careful out there.

Maybe the NSA is doing some sideline information sales. Just kidding, of course. It is scary how information is passed around these days. Maybe Big Brother is out there and not always acting on our behalf ???

I would guess it was either dumb luck that the scammer sent it when they did, or that BofA really did send it and the person she talked to didn't know about the program - one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing.

I am constantly getting "phishing" emails from the scum of the earth that look very similar to my email/internet provider and other businesses.
The more this happens the more I despise technology at times. It once only cost me a stamp to pay a bill. Now I must have several hundred dollars in a computer and $50 anti-virus software, etc....... Then in a few years I get to buy the technology all over again....
Rant off.
