We name ours Epiphany because we suddenly found all of our excuses for not traveling were hogwash, and if your gone long enough, the neighbors will cut the grass...

Since then we have averaged 6,000 miles a year and still work fulltime...that reminds me, I have built up 2.5 days of vacation...ROAD TRIP!

French /Asian theme.

Hi, my wife said she wanted to decorate our trailer in a French theme so we came up with the name and meaning that is in my signature. It was almost three years later when we decorated our trailer. Shortly later my wife wanted to decorate the bedroom in an Asian theme; Name stays the same.

Our Caravel is Boris, in honor of the giant spider we discovered lurking near the black tank. When sucked into the wet/dry vac, it made a nice *thunk* sound. Don't think he will ever mend...

"The Crappy Camper"

"The Crappy Camper"
When we bought our camper she was so dirty and yucky. I had remembered a line from the movie "Happy Texas" in which a couple of guys come out of a quick stop and say "Someone stole our crappy camper!" SO when I started cleaning her out our granddaughter asked me what I was doing and I said OH just cleaning out the the Crappy Camper. She said "is this aowa (our) cwappy campor Nana?" We thought it was so cute to hear her say cwappy campor we have lovingly kept calling her the "Crappy Camper" Now that we are getting the remodel underway we will have to change her name I guess.

Cute...Leave it to good ole Mom to come up with that one. Sounds like something my Mom would have said.

RivetAira

Kind of a twist on Rivet and Tara from Gone With the Wind. But we say it with a silent T. As in the Riviera. It says "Land Yacht" on the RivetAira.

In 1971, I was a brand new Kansas City police officer and assigned to Kansas City's east side. In those days there were still many trailer parks out there and many were constant problems. One "manager" at the Bunker Hill Trailer Park was an older lady (I was 23 so everyone was old-she was probably 40) and she ran her facility w/ an iron fist. She told me one time that all the girls that got a divorce got to keep the house--she said she not only kept the house, she TOOK the house!

Anyway, she was old, short, wide, gray, unstable, and named Turleen. It all kinda fits, doesn't it?

Meadowlark Lemon

My new 1963 vintage will debut her new name.... 'Meadowlark'... why?
Because she's a Globetrotter!

George

We finally came up with a name for our '63 Globetrotter. In the mid 1960's when my wife was about 9 years old, she lived in Phoenix, Arizona a couple on times over a few years. Her & her two brothers purchased a Dessert Tortoise from a pet store. George, the tortoise, travel with the family over the next 12+ years to the 6 different cities they lived. George would hibernate every winter--wake up ready for the spring.

We're hoping that George will soon be able to travel all over the country (after hibernating in the winter). We think that they even look a little alike.

Mrs. Glisten -- Because I admired a frail, arthritic old woman in the "County Home" in Macon, GA who had a wonderful spirit.

Ours is called Whitie. The po changed the paint color from the original cream color to white. Hence his name!

Catarina. My wife and daughter both have Cathryn in their name, and we live in Texico so I think the Spanish version is appropriate. Also, the previous owner's name was Cat, so it seemed fitting all the way around.

Of course, she used to be named "Goliath."

Terry and Marie only THOUGHT she was giant, until they found Big Bertha.
