Iggy, as in Igloo. Easy to remember. That's important at our age ....

We named the old boy "Bud". In memory of Skye's father who recently passed away at the young age of 99. Our goal (with the help of our kids who will get this passed down) is to keep it on the road for at least 99 years. (1984 Sovereign)
I mentioned this on a forum thread yesterday and an interesting response came back. "I wonder what will be used as tow vehicles when Bud is 99"

"Fly at Night" because I love vintage aviation and am a night person.

A guy at the rally last week said they used to call an Airstream an "upholstered stovepipe" for obvious reasons.
I like it.

When we first walked around inside our 1950 22' Liner, we noticed that the whole shell wobbled pretty bad since half the floor was rotted. So we settled on the name Weeble.

We had to start calling them by name since "older" and "newer" just confuses the issue since the 1979 is our oldest in ownership but the 1950 is older in age.

"Silver Mistress"

High maintenance, always on my mind, gives me pleasure, doesn't act very nice sometimes. A love/hate relationship but I keep going back for more.

"Marrakech Express". We have traveled on same from Casablanca to Marrakech, and when we redesigned the dinnet area with a smaller table and cushions we purchased in Morocco, it just seemed like the thing to do. Of course there is that song...

After three prior attempts to find the right Airstream we settled on a 2004 28 foot Classic. We call her "Number Four". This is the first one we named and should be a keeper.

We SHOULD name her The Pantry . . . every time we run out of something in the house I go get what's in the trailer. However, no name has actually come to the fore. The best one I heard (here?) was the guy who bought a vintage AS that had some serious crumples . . . he named her "Dimples" .

A little R&R

We purchased our tow vehicle a few months before our Airstream and had named him, Rex. Then we purchased our Airstream, which we named Romulus. Rex is smaller than Romulus so . . . we tell folks we're going to be taking "a little R&R" or we need some R&R. Our pups are named Frya and Baldr, so clearly we have a theme.
