After all, you do live in Hell.

The bug is going around here, although my family has escaped it so far. Get better!

Sorry you arent feeling well, Laura. Our family also has had this bug. Ours started around Thanksgiving. I still have the cough and chest congestion. The antibiotics the doctors are giving out arent working. They say it is some kind of mutated cold virus. And Russell, you are probably right! Hope you feel better soon, Laura!

FWIW, I've never been much on cold remedies. I've just suffered through, feeling very put-upon.

This year, my wife caught the local nasty and was having a miserable time with it. As Christmas day was approaching, I decided to try the new cold-minimizer "Zincam" (I think that's how it's spelled).

I think it has helped - I caught the edge of the cold but never got beat up by it. Usually we follow pretty closely in each other's footsteps. So - in the spirit of sharing (not the cold), I'd suggest anyone to try it as soon as the cold hits.

Thinking Spring.

Zinc nasal sprays have a possible side effect of loss of sense of smell. If you google Zincam, you will find a reference to a big lawsuit the manufacturer had to pay on for this. They treated it as the cost of doing business.

Dave,

If you think about it, as folks age, they, uh, tend to have problems with pretty much everything they eat and they just seem either reluctant to take Beeno, or haven't heard about it, or their nostrils are cauterized already and they don't know about "the problem".

So, in jest of course, losing one's sense of smell and hanging out with all these "old" Airstreamers may just be a benefit and not a problem at all.

Thanks for the Google suggestion.

Barry

The flu as well as the Norwalk virus have hit the lower mainland of BC this year. One of our hospitals has restricted visitors rights currently due to the Norwalk virus, and a significant number of our friends are suffering through either flu like symptoms or brutal colds. Deep into their chests, stuffed up, and boy are they ever grouchy.

So you are not alone, but we sympathize with you having been there earlier in the year. Both of us got flu shots and that seems to have helped so far, with fingers crossed.

Just think about sunny lazy days under the awning beside a lake or in a natural mountain setting, wild flowers all about, and a nice cool drink in hand. Sort of like what those folks able to go way south this year are currently enjoying....

Take care,
Barry

We're going to the Ohio RV Show in Cleveland this weekend to get started on the '08 camping season. We've still got three months before we can get our baby out of winter storage - boo! - and this show every year helps us get through the winter.
There is a local AS dealer who will be there hopefully he'll have more than one unit on display.
I think this year we're gonna make a paper chain and take off a link every day until we can go Streaming again!!!
