Wife wanted a little shelf...

...so she could enjoy her coffee in bed.

Our 16' Bambi has those wonderful wraparound Panoramic windows that surround the bed. It is a great place to "hang out" but Dorsey complained that she can not enjoy coffee there due to the fact that there is no place to put the cup down. I was given the job of figuring out a solution.

No master craftsman am I, but I kind of like my solution. It is plenty stable, attaches and comes off in seconds, works with the curtains drawn or open and I like to think that with all the aluminum and rivets it kind of fits in...

Just thought I'd share
Bruce

I'll take two, what a great product! No need to get up quick in the morning when you are in an Airstream!

Looks like a great marketable item. Could buy you a lot of gas to travel longer.

That is a really novel idea. I like it. They should come with every small Airstream.

Bruce, your solution is unique and very creative. Mine not so. But it is a necessity. A shelf from IKEA, cut in half and bolted to the wall. JimClick image for larger version
