Okay guys (and gals) need some input here Is there a good long term campground in the Wenatchee, WA area? I am guessing 3-6 months. My company is on the short list of qualified contractors bidding on a project at the Alcoa plant there. I was out there briefly about 6 years ago, but wasn't looking for campgrounds at the time.
No real hurry I don't expect the job to be funded until next fiscal year...but I have been wrong before

Why are we in this basket...and where are we going
There are a few wierd RV parks that are mostly permanent trailers that are permanent housing for those who cannot afford a real place. We may be able to accomodate you at our place. The concern is that if you are here in the winter the water line might freeze.
Thanks for the input, I will keep it in mind. I am guessing that the project is about a year off. I kind of got the information by the grapevine The funny thing is that a lot of those plants are in very nice areas of the country. I know at one point they were built in areas to take advantage of the Hydropower. Those smelting plants take an amazing amount of electricity to operate. The one in Goose Creek, SC that I am currently working at their average power bill is over $1.6 million per month
There are only two of us in the company that will travel that far for a project and we both are RV'ers. So the info is good for both of us.

Alcoa plant you say? Wouldn't that be appropriate to have an aluminum trailer in their lot? Make a great photo op.

Brad,
That is what I thought about the one in Goose Creek, SC but they weren't too amused. I mean they have something like 1200 acres and they won't even let you park on ONE of them

I understand fresh fruit is hard to find there. Especially apples!
If you were wanting to get out of your AS for a spell, another Silver Bullet runs through Wenatchee. Amtrak's "Empire Builder" would be a fun way to get to Seattle for a weekend.
Maybe they know its not Alcoa metal on your era of aluminum. Is it?

Brad,
Mine is the Alcoa Alclad. I suspect it has more to do with industrial espionage and liability. I was working at a plant in Mobile, AL that had a beautiful wooded area away from the plant that would have made a perfect camp site, but no dice.
