Unhappy Why aren't you using your Airstream this weekend?

OK, I have to admit that with so much work and stress, I do pop into the forums to live vicatiously (did I spell that right?) thru others postings and updates....

Every moment I have, I try to plan my next outing for the weekend in the Airstream... sometimes we can't due to one reason or another...

So, to let some fustration out, I decided I'm gonna post why I can't go Airstreaming this weekend... Others are encuraged to vent here as well....

I can't go Airstreaming this weekend because I need to travel overseas for work and leave on Saturday for a Monday meeting... I'm even gonna miss a rally this weekend....

Anyone else want to vent why they can't go?

A couple of reasons.
  1. My wife is going to New Jersey for a week and will not be here.
  2. I need to get the hitch all setup on my new truck to get ready for the 4CU Balloon Fiesta Rally in a couple of weeks.

Good reason!

We'll be in Florida starting tomorrow to help welcome into the world our 4th grandbaby!! Oh, and our new old Bambi is still being "fixed up" - but should be ready for a maiden voyage in October!

We went camping without an interior! It was like tent camping in an aluminum tent! I packed a microwave, made a bed with a mattress, took a portapotty, and stuff in boxes... not the most luxurious, but it worked and we didn't miss a rally!

Actually we will only miss 1/2 of the weekend!

Well, our kids are showing up on Saturday to take Dad out to dinner for his birthday! So, we will be leaving on Sunday for a camping trip and eventually make our way to the Beverly Beach Rally at the end of the week!

Funny you started this thread.

We have not used our trailer in about six weeks. The longest span ever. Work and other obligations have kept us house bound.

Called the Mrs. at work this morning and said. "Lets run away this weekend."

We'll go someplace local and not too exciting unlike Fyrzowt but we won't be at home and right now that is what matters.

My husband is off from work tonight...So where is he? In the driveway sleeping in the Airstream. I tucked him in, and he says "Man, I love this thing". So much for a kiss goodnight. Ha!

So, in otherwords, no plans to leave the driveway, but still enjoying and sleeping in the Airstream.

Been out of town to "visit" my husband who's building a store in N.C.. Set up his DSL, Fax and printer. Showed him how to send pictures to the home office, shopped for healthy foods for his frig.. Now I'm home and I'll be going to the lake this week-end. I'm going to miss my first rally at Branson, MO, because the State of Oklahoma has scheduled a mandatory recertification training on the very same week. Believe me, camping at the lake alone ain't that much fun. I love the Argosy, BUT........

Because we have to go to Dallas (again) to deal with our rental house the renters trashed and we can't afford to have some of the work done (amazing how fast it adds up!), so we're doing a lot of it ourselves. Sigh.

Looking forward to Branson!

Because it is getting ready to be painted and only has part of its interior done... and no wheels on it right now... Nov7 is coming quickly for leaving for Fla for the winter... Hubby is madly working on it..

Our tow vehicle is having a carb-overhaul. The trailer needs electrical issues traced - see if recharged battery will fix electrical issue otherwise we will be tracking a short.
