Why 75th Anniversary in two model years?

As advertised, why is the 2006 Classic marked as a 75th Anniversary model and then the 2007 model Classic marked also as a 75th Anniversary?

How can that be?

Excellent question Bill! One I am meaning to pursue further. Airstream offered the "limited" Special Edition for the anniversary year...limited to as many buyers can make their way to purchase them????? 2 years and 4 trim packages (reg Safari, SE Safari, CCD International, and Classic Limited) and 2 sizes (25' and 27') for the front bedroom model so far. I mentioned buying the 2006 Safari and various dealerships telling us there would be no Classic model to Dickie Regal at the International when I traded the Safari for the Classic I had tried to order in the first place and he said they had no way of knowing these things and promptly took off.

hi carol! how are ya?

where have you been?

with no posts recently i assumed you had traded for a 5th wheel or prevost!

hi william...

i don't take the anniversary timing too literally....

and the 75th only comes along every decade...so milk it.

IF 2006 is the 75th year of airstream birth....what month were they born?

seriously, models don't follow a calendar year...

so 06s were, and 07s are being built in 2006.

just curious but, why do you care william?

neither will be collectible....

heck i've got a 75TH medalion on my 05...

cheers

Are Airstream years like doggy years? 75 in every decade? Whew... no wonder so many WBCCI members have silver hair. Well that's life in the fast lane for you.

We've been to Rocky Mountain National Park for a month. The autumn colors were peak and the elk were bugling. The new TV and AS were great and we had a really good time.
