Whodathunk
Greetings all, our AS has turned into an Igloo . This snow thing has got to stop soon. Thanks for letting me vent.
Take care,

Here too
We're in the midst of an ice storm. Last weekend, it was in the 80s here. Tonight, it is 24 degrees and falling fast. The beeper on my UPS keeps going off, so apparently the power lines are icing up. This may well be the coldest night of the year.
I went out at 7 this morning and winterized the trailer. I have the ceramic heater inside running at 800 watts, all lines blown out with compressed air, and antifreeze in the traps.
We pull out Friday noon for the Blanco Forum Rally. Thursday night will be cold again, but it is supposed to warm up for the weekend.

Hello 65GT, there isn't much on the ground right now, maybe 5 or 6 inches. Just enough to keep things cold and slippery and wishing for warmer days where I live. Further to the south 20 miles there is probably 2 or 3 ft on the ground. That is where the true lake effect is.

Cold?...you want COLD!?
Hi all -
Here east of ALBQ it is about 7 degrees and dropping to about -2! Windchills running in the 20 below range - that is because the winds are light! It has been howling here all week. Had sustained winds in the 15 to 20 MPH range all week.
Of course, they are saying mid to high 50's by Saturday. Great since I have about 200 people coming on Sunday for a Holiday Open House. What was I thinking????
Stay warm and stay safe out there!

YAY . When I went to bed last night the weatherman was calling for one to three inches of snow falling before morning. Sadly, when I woke up a few hours ago not a single flake was to be seen . About half an hour ago it finally started to come down and we already have a coating YAY

A good cold snap is what keeps the fire ants and fleas somewhat under control around here.
I spent most of my life in the north; PA, NY, and CO. The typical week of real winter we have here doesn't bother me although I feel the cold more than I used to. I still wear a sleeveless vest when everyone else is all bundled up and wearing gloves.
Off to Blanco tomorrow!

Beautiful Ohio
We are at 2 degrees this morning. Hoping for 20s today. Luckily we are not in the primary snowbelt and only have a couple of inches of snow. East side of Cleveland keeps getting clobbered though!!!

Cold is a relative thing. we're expecting a cold front in the next couple of days. It might get down to 50deg. at night and 70 during the day for a couple days here in mid Florida.
Talk about finding a silver lining in a haystack; as a collateral of the past hurricanes, I have plenty of downed Oak canopy for stoking the fireplace so should pull through o.k.
Feeling kind of lucky, we can still hook up and cruise even in this wicked winter setting.

65GT, it is real nice in North Central Florida. Granted it is not in the high 70's and 80's, but I woke up to 62 this morning, under cloudy skies, with a little rain. My hometown in Ohio (Chardon) boasts 61.5 inches of snow, so far this year. Glad we decided to move down here 2 years ago!!

perception is reality
Son is in college at OU, Norman Oklahoma. He's LOL at the locals. OMG they had a blizzard there the other day. Snow almost covered the grass and is already gone.
It's snowing like mad here in NH, we're supposed to get 6 or more inches before noon.
Good thing, AS in snug and dry in the barn.
