It's on. Just wondering if most everyone is frozen solid this morning.

Ice, ice, ice
We had an ice storm last night. Well over 100 accidents during last evening's rush hour with black ice covering every raised roadway and over every culvert.
Today is trash day and I had a very exciting time getting my rolling trash container down my ice-covered steep driveway.
Supposed to get all the way up to 38 today. Tomorrow we leave for the Blanco Forum Rally and it is expected to be up to 46. They are expecting 45 Saturday when the Blanco Xmas parade and market days will be held. Thankfully, no precipitation expected.
It will be below freezing both nights we will be at Blanco. My water line froze up 2 years ago at the Blanco Forum Rally and this looks to be a repeat year. I have 2 full propane tanks, the heat pump, and a 1600-watt ceramic heater, so we should be cozy warm in the trailer. The combination of the ceramic heater runnning at 800-watts and the heat pump really keeps the trailer comfortable.

Florida is also a worthwhile investment.
Put snow shovel in back window of vehicle and drive south until someone asks "what's that thing for". You're there.

Was below zero here last night. The 900 watts on in the "oil filled" electric heater kept it 10 above. Sheeeesh. I quite running the butane furnace, now that I am sure that it works, since butane in now worth its weight in money. I am really glad that I winterized, but am having second thoughts about taking the AS to the Hill Country in about 10 days. I would hate to get down there and un winterize and then get stuck in the traditional, annual, freak ice storm that happens somewhere between Amarillo and Abilene, if I am on the road.

I know you Florida folks are gloating about your warm weather (I'm from Miami...I remember what it's like), but if my house is going to be surrounded by 2 or 3 feet of water, I'd much prefer it to be in the form of SNOW!!! I DO NOT miss the hurricanes (I just went through Wilma in Cozumel ).
