I just clicked on the find a dealer tab on the new AS site.
Guess what?? N.Y. has none!!! What is happening to our support system. Where is the Factory, and what is there responsibilty in all this. I had a feeling that my selling dealer in Darian N.Y. would go belly-up, but I had no idea they were the only ones!!!
I'm sure there are dealers, they either may be low-volume, or not have a website. Florida lists only one dealership, Bates, but I know for a fact there is at least one more, since I can look out the front window in our house and see another one. Plus, our trailer was repaired by the Airstream dealer in Englewood Florida, and they are not listed either.
Try the Airstream dealer in Watertown, CT (off Rte 84), Valenti's RV Legends. They are great to deal with and their service department is excellent. They have a technician in their service department (George) that knows everything about the Airstream.

Terry,
The Airstream site shows 4 dealers for the sunshine state:
and s.t.e stopped dealing a/s late last model year...
so there are currently (july07) NO dealers in ny state...
i would guess the darien center business can still do repair work and either might do dometic repairs.
cheers

We bought our 03 Classic from Shining Time. Literally a Mom and Pop operation, with one part time technician, and a less than part time son helping out.
Our classic was one of five new AS on the lot, none of which was a current year model at the time. I know, I know that should have been a dead give-away, but it was optioned out well, and had the perfect interior furnishing's that Sandra really fell in love with. And although it was 6mos old at the time, the price was more than right, so we took the plunge. Although wev'e had more than our share of concerns, what I regret most is not having enough room to keep our "63" Safari.
I get the feeling that most of us really don't mind and actually enjoy working on our Stream's, but just wish we had more choice in what we are working on. Maybe some personalization or some nice custom touch's, instead of fixing factory goof's and foul-ups.
Right now this Fridge recall has been a real concern for both of us. Sandra was the first to read the notice and to say it shocked her would be an understatement. Went to Camping World in early June to inquire about having it done and was told that, no they haven't had an AS in yet. (still haven't). But boy those AS are hard to work on so better plan on not waiting> yeah right!!!
When I went to the new AS site to locate the closest dealer, London Ont popped up. Not one in NYS. Dissappointed, yeah I guess so!!!
Parkview RV in Smyrna, Delaware just anounced a few weeks ago that, due to "declining sales", they would no longer be an Airstream dealership, but has an agreement with Airstream to continue to sell parts and do repair work. It's unfortunate for the Airstream business in general, but I'm reasonably certain that I'll never buy another new one.
and dick gore rv world (b vans only) in jacksonville
gives florida 6 dealers...

Also, RV World of Nokomis is an Airstream dealer. Also not listed, so there are 7 and counting. Maybe y'all should move to Florida to get a new Airstream.
