43 with a wind chill of 38, windy, cloudy in Greenwood, MS.
The wind seems to be blowing right through the walls!
Can't get warm!

Sixtys here in Gainesville. Cold front not supposed to come this far south. Fortys tonight. About normal for this time of year. Usually don't have to use the furnace until Thanksgiving. Keep warm up there and be careful.

Windy and 39

Cold here in Dallas.

Anticipated rain and possible wintry mix on the weekend so we cancelled camping plans with our oldest son.... he and his girlfriend were going to tent camp but they have two big dogs and nothing worse than trying to camp in the cold wet weather with two wet dogs.....

so I winterized the AS last night and if we get a nice weekend sometime along, will just pack up and go when the weather is better

My sister lives in Brighton (northeast-Denver metro area), where yesterday's high was +65 degrees and this morning's low was -4. Yesterday afternoon, it dropped from the mid-60s to freezing in a couple of hours.

Last year, around this time of the year, it was a balmy 65 degrees when we went into Costco to grocery shop; and when we came out an hour or so later, it was snowing with the temperature dropping fast!

I Denver, if you don't like the weather, just wait a little bit. However, it could get worse!

Might have to put the bike up and come to work in the tv...

Our Airstream enables us to leave wintery Minnesota each fall and enjoy the consistent warm and sunny days of the Southwest each year, then back to the beautiful spring and summer of home. Right now near Tucson, AZ with vents and door open, awnings out.

First freeze of the season here. Down to 29 or so early morning. Clear, and a north wind, so the wind chill is a factor.
Big news is that we had 70's just a day ago, so the drop across the cold front is a classic Texas blue norther.

I have heard mixed reviews about the upcoming winter, everythng from as bad as last year to mild and balmy.....and everything in between.

Sure is a wide range of temps just right here.

Got stuck in one of them in West Texas about a year ago. Strong wing, huge temperature drop. The campground owners remarked that there was nothing between us and the North Pole but a barbed wire fence to block the wind, and it was down.

Wind Chill factor was amazing and the AS was swaying a bit even though I had the jacks down tight and the TV still hitched. Dogs went out and hated it, but we all stayed warm and toasty with the furnace on. It settled down the next morning...

I know. I had to put on a sweatshirt for the morning dog walk. I hate when that happens.

Not for your Airstream. Wind chill only matters to people and animals that have body heat that is warmer than the ambient temperature. If the outside temperature is 29°F and the wind chill is 15°F (for example) the metal of a stored trailer still won't get any colder than 29°F.

Wind chill does have an effect on the trailer if you've got the heat on, because then its internal temperature is warmer than the outside temperature, and wind chill causes you to use more propane to keep it warm.

We woke up one morning in Prescott, AZ to temps about 14 degrees....newbies then, hadn't checked the temps and were hooked up to water.

Temps can change quickly, even in the desert.

Old lady dog is jammed into my chair against the arm and next to my leg to warm up. She prefers warmer weather. 18 year old chihuahua mix--she's retired but still chases the younger pups.

She got warm enough and is now in a blanket nest on the couch. They are all (4) napping happily.

The wind chill affects me, the human. The Airstream is safely winterized and tucked into a hangar with some flighty aluminum cousins.

Yes. Wind chill is what keeps me inside.
